About everything
From UFO:AI
just downloaded it - impressive! I was so pissed by cenega's shitty attempts to carry on with the UFO franchise. This game looked right from the beginning, intuitive (for someone who has played UFO:EO and XCOM:TFTD) and with much attention to detail. Some things however bug me: very slow framerate (Athlon64 3000+, 1gbram ddr400, Ati9600pro, winxp) and there should be some confirmation dialogues (that you could disable in the options) for things like sell/buy items. Also i would swap the sides of the sell/buy button since i think it is more intuitive that what you own is on the right not on the left. Oh and the random crash bug me a little ;)
I'm so glad UFO:AI is resurrected! Whoa! The game will be a huge hit.
I only wonder about the original artwork. It would be a pity to throw it away, as it was indeed quite nice, but I'm not sure if the licence problems are/will be sorted out. Any news?
Now I got a confirmation, on IRC, that original authors have licensed all game content under GNU GPL. Great! (Though I would prefer to see it published on the net by the authors themselves.) --Bandobras 13:21, 1 August 2006 (CEST)
